a quick little update! managed to win a new head unit, amp, 2 6x9s and a sub on ebay pretty cheap (only wanted the headunit and maybe the amp) and im half way through fitting that! just need a couple of converter leads before it can be fitted properly and put back together again - pictures will follow when its all running!

 

got a little surprise in the post today!

 

 

 

dad won it on ebay for me the other day so will come in handy im sure!

Well, got the new (to me) headunit fitted along with the amp, just needs the remainder of the boot board fitted and then that's the boot done!!!!!!





Also ripped the badges off as they were nasty ones from eBay so will have to get some decent ones to replace them with!!

Very busy with uni work and my part time job recently so not had as much time on the mini as i'd have liked!

 

however, boot board was completely fitted the other day with screws  and some brackets made to hold it around the petrol tank as it wouldn't stay when previously fitted!

 

 

just the center console to be fitted back again with switches for the variety of horns and a 12v changer to be added and then its tax and then laser alignment for the suspension and i'm ready for the summer!!!!!!!!!!!

Got a few hours in today!

Managed to get the centre console fitted with different vents that now work and switches for my 3 horns!

The pipe from the heater to the screen had to be fixed too!

Added an auxiliary input flush in the dash so when not using music on my phone it's much neater

And added a 12v charger to centre console! Will be getting rid of the cigarette lighter when I get a 12v cap!

Well I've not updated this for a while! 

 

Nothing has happened over the last 10 months, I had a brilliant summer of motoring in the mini, didn't mis a beat which is good!!

 

Couple of things that need doing, have a stone chip on the edge of the sill, think a seatbelt has been trapped in the door, this will be touched up in the coming weeks and i have a minivation cupholder to find a home for..

 

Other than that I'm hoping for another issue free summer with the mini! 

 

Updates on the chip and the cupholder will hopefully follow shortly!

When i first fitted it i had some problems with it, kept coming out of gear but traced that to mounting it with poly bushes, now fitted with softer rubber ones and its been perfect! Really recommend it!

They're mini ones! Not sure if you can buy new, i got mine second hand of eBay
