I'm thinking of getting one of these as they are quite short!

Slightly strange question, although related to jacks..

i have a late cooper and i purchased an original rover jack in its black bag, does it have a special place in the boot? where it can be stored without moving around?

cheers!!

ive never had a bottle jack small enough to go under my minis....

+1 on this, I've got a couple of bottle jacks kicking around, but neither of them are low enough to go under a standard height mini, which is why I carry a scissor jack in both my mini. I've never had an issue with a scissor jack being unstable so long as you're careful and use it on level ground.

The issue I've always had with the standard mini jack isn't the jacking points, but that you really need to use it with the door open, which really isn't all that practical at the roadside

^^^ This.

Standard jack is okay on the drive, but no good on the roadside because of the door problem. Likewise, not all verges are level enough to use a scissor jack safely.  Its bulky, but I'll always chuck the trolley jack in the boot on a long trip.
