White/black, so the dominant colour had a capital letter,

 

Thanks for that.  I will try to start doing the same.

With the two wires from the coil, one has a connector on the other end that the negative from the dizzy goes into, which is apparently how this distributor I've got needs to be connected up (red wire from the module to coil + and black wire to coil -), so for ease I just connected the same wire back on the coil and plugged the negative from the dizzy into the corresponding spot.

 

The naming conventions for the colour coded wires seem sensible so I'll try and stick to them lol

Its not British Standards or anything just what Lucas taught on their courses White/black so seemed a good idea on the courses we did.
