Hi everyone, new to this website so please excuse me if this is a regular issue.

My reverse lights are not working, I've changed the bulbs which hasn't worked and I don't think it's the fuses as the break lights and indicators are working.

It's a 92 Mini Sprite. Does anyone have any idea what it could be and how an amateur like myself could fix it?

Many thanks!

John

The reverse switch located below the gear lever. It could just be a broken wire at the switch or the switch itself. Check the wiring in the boot too

Are the plugs that run from the gear selecter up clean/ conected? They should be under the carpet from the gear selecter

Lift the carpet under the heater.  The reverse lamp switch is plugged into the loom at a point on the bulkhead, stamping on the carpet can sometimes unplug it. Chase the cables right up to the dash and check its all plugged up.
