Not had the best of days, changed a fuel line from the carb as it had split, then went to start the van and get this terrible knocking sound, almost like a Diesel engine ticking over.... Worrying.

Then to top it off the head gasket has gone as the oil is grey... So decided to clean the interior instead till the parts arrive.

Mmmmmm interior shots  like the column mounted rev counter might have to borrow that idea.

 

I'm doing for a smooth dash and no heater!

Head gasket is done..., hopefully new oil in tomorrow then double check everything before I fire her up.

Started the van up yesterday.... Ran perfectly. Now time to clean the connections on the dash switches, make sure all lights are working then off for an MOT on Thursday.fingers crossed.

I used to be a member of SMOC. Where do they meet these days? I used to go along to meets at Notcuts but that was many years ago!

SMOC meet on a Wednesday in leybourne at a pub called chimneys. Been a member for 11years now

I was a member before that. I was sorting out in my Mum's loft last week and found a box of old SMOC magazines! and seeing your windscreen sticker reminded me. If i still lived that way, i recon i would join back up again. always found the other members to be a friendly bunch.
