My user name is because I have been asked so many times if Tamworth is near the sea. At this rate it will be!

ive seen a few impressive floods there in the past with far less rain! The snow dome has nearly become an island on many occasions

A flooded house where the water is as high as the door knocker, in the flooded village of East Lyng, Somerset. :ohno:

We have been strangely dry by Tamworth standards. The A5 gets lakes under the bridges when it's really bad. As far as I know the snow dome car park is still useable for vehicles whose name does not start with HMS.

I spent last night at an airfield and the wind was crazy. Quite scary really! Quite a lot of trees down in the area. And at a few points the building was shaking quite violently!

Really makes me appreciate where I live and really feel for the flood victims :(
I love stormy weather but when you think about all the people its affected and even worse, its not even slightly getting better, just more rain and more flooding :(

It's been pretty awful.  Feel so sorry for the South West at the moment.

Both caravan parks near me are on flood alert, not surprising really as like most others they are deliberate placed on cheap land/flood plans that aren't suitable for proper housing.

The wind though, I was half expecting to find the mini under a fence panel this morning thanks to next doors 7 foot eyesore finally fell over. Not surprising really when the posts are less than 6 inches in the ground and if it weren't for my shed, the west would have been over as well. Instead I ended up with 2 foot wells in the mini swimming in water and soaked carpets.
