Thanks for all the input guys - I'm thinking the real deal may be a better bet! Maybe keep the steels with some winter tyres on and use the D1s through the spring/summer.

yep thats what i'm doing, got a set of ultralites that need refurbing for the winter and the d1's are for the spring/summer days/nights
