Genuine Kent Cam?

Is this a genuine Kent cam, I thought the KC was on the opposite side to where the model cast was stamped.

Yes that's is a Kent cams mega dyne 276 metro.

Was that the one that was on eBay that said "might be Kent 276"? What's to stop someone just stamping those numbers into a standard cam

Yeah I saw that and steered clear. In reality that cam could be anything. If it's not 100% then I wouldn't want to risk it
