Also beware of using too long self-tappers around the grille area and piercing the wiring harness behind.......quick release grille buttons solve the problem:

I used stainless 5mm rivnuts after drilling I painted the hole and inserted the rivnut. This link gives pretty good info on dissimilar material corrosion.

In order for you to have galvanic corrosion you need an electrolyte such as salt water so if you wash it regularly it won't be much of a problem. Probably less so than the original steel on steel sheetmetal screws.

You could also install a sacrificial anode if you're really worried :)

Blimey,who knew that choosing grille screws could be so complicated!! Personally I use grille buttons and therefore don't have the worry of corrosion issues, they also make routine removal and refitting of the grille a darn sight easier too!!
