What's meant by success ballast? Obviously a weight but for what?

we have 2 races in the weekend, start position in the first race is determined by times in qualifying.

then for race 2...

the driver who won race 1 has to pull a number 4 , 6 , 8 from the hat. what ever number he pulls out thats where the grids get reversed from. plus the top 3 drivers get a success ballast.. driver who won gets 10kg 2nd place gets 8kg and 3rd gets 6kg. they then carry this over to the next qualifying and race 1.

the idea is to stop any drivers running away with the championship..

have i exlpaied that ok ? aha

If you don't mind me asking how much did your car cost to make and how much do you spend in a season?

Hello Mate

my car (the one above in the pictures) was parked with team bailey. My dads and brothers where parked further along. they race in the super mighty minis.

not sure on build cost. as i don't own my mighty mini. but that car is a heritage shell so not cheap...

but last year i raced my own car and that cost me 4k to buy. tyres 65 quid ago probably go through 2 complete sets a year at the most. fuel for car £90.00 a meeting. entry fee £380.00 per meeting. damage unknown. (last year i had none) if you want to test its about £150 for a half day on a friday.

i recon your looking at about a grand a meeting all in. competitive car from 3500 to 6k.
