OK thanks Cooperman. I'm not sure what we have on ours, as the guy that 'built' it did some parts well and bodged others extremely badly - we're still sorting out the latter bits at the moment, so the subframe mounts will go on the list of other things to check!!

I am in the middle of sorting out a 'fully restored' 1964 850 bodyshell which I got as part of a complete garage clear out. It was done a while back and was said to be 'ready for final assembly'. So far I've fitted new front wings, one new A-panel inner & outer, one new inner wing, new inner & outer sills plus jacking point on one side repairs to engine bay cross member and some small floor repairs. Now I shall turn it on the other side to remove the over-sills (oh, yes, it has these) and do the LH sills and jacking point, plus the rear quarter panel lower section. Still, once you do a proper job at least you know it is right.

When it's all done I'll have 2 1964 Minis, an 850 and a Cooper 'S'.

God luck with your rally build. Let me know if I can help at all.
