right then, its my 21st birthday in 2 weeks and im trying to compile a list of presents!! nearly all of which are for the car obviously!

number 1 on the list are a set of bright yellow samco hoses!

anyone had any experiences with fitting these?? are they worth it?? i know they will look ace against all other yellow parts, but everyone always says bottom hose is a nightmare to get on and off!!

i know it will involve bleeding the colling system but ive never done that before and i imagine that the two heater hoses connect from the valve straight to the heater and out the other side! which means ill have big bright yellow pipes in my car??

number 2 and 3 on the list hopefully will be head and cam, but we'll see how good the birthday fairy is!!

the silicone pipes are fine! got a blue set fitted to mine, you'll have to trim the pipes going to your heater but that is fine! the trick with the bottom hose is to remove the rad, the flush the engine and rad through with a hose pipe and fit the bottomm hose to the rad before refitting! :P

or get a flex pipe clamp remover and just take it off... I do them in the car all the time... just means getting your arm a little dirty... also preferably do it when engine is cold... :P

I'd say it looks more like plastic...a Tamiya engine

P.S. Silicone hoses...so worth it

The one across the front of the rocker cover is a breather hose. Its connected to the cannister on the timing chain covers, goes to a T just above the "clutch housing" breather and will then go off to a catch tank. The heater hoses are all on the thermostat side as it has a sandwich plate setup. (one comes from the lower hose, the other from the sandwich plate)

They are SFS hoses. My old man dealt with them in the past, so he got some discount. When you order yours, check on the size of the upper rad hose at the thermostat. The one I initially got wasn't big enough! Whether it's a special for the sandwich plate equipped cars I'm not sure. Neither were SFS! :P I just tried to fit the original, it wouldn't fit, called them and they replaced it. Just make sure you don't have the same thing when ordering by confirming the size with whoever you buy it from.

Oh and I still have some yellow 3mm vacuum hose left over that I'm sure we could come to an arrangement on......

i ent got a hose like that on mine that goes across the front, should i have??
only breather i have is on the left of the engine that comes out of that oil breather!
looks like a properly modded engine though, looks totally different in some aspets, like where your coil is and the sandwhich plate you have??
well the top hose should be the gt one advertised as mine is a gt! well in a an ideal world it will fit!!
was thinking yellow because it matches the fan and stand out against the blue, any other opinions?

I thought that most 1275s had 2 breathers from the engine? I'm probably wrong though! :P Either way, you'll have a pipe that comes from the breather to the carb. I don't think that breather pipe is part of the samco kit though. I'll need another two lines when the engine is installed. ("T" to catch tank and catch tank to carb)

The engine is a completely standard 1992 A+. Just tarted up! (and the coil I just moved 'because it looks better there imho!)
