I'm interested in getting some Mini 1100 Special Wheels. Just need a little bit more information on them though if anyone know's much about them?

Am I right in thinking you need to buy special wheel nuts for them as they don't take standard ones?

& then also some wheel nut covers?

Also, how much would be expected to pay for some that are in mint condition that have been dipped, stripped & powder coated without tyres?

I understand that they are fairly hard to find.

They do pop up now and then though.

As for price, i have no idea!

Yep you need different wheel nuts as the taper is different, you don't need the covers though.

I would say around £100 for some minit ones without nuts.

There not worth that much, a unrefurbed set is about £50. you can pick them up fairly easily too (compared to some 10's).

Well you learn something new everyday! I had a 1100 special years ago and it had the wrong wheels and i couldn't find a set anywhere!

I love exactions, very retro!

I just got a mint set (need a clean n respray but all straight) of 5 for £60 the other day. Tyres are scrap but I'm planning on putting some period look Dunlop tyres anyway. Torn between getting mine split and having the centres powdercoated Connaught Green or buying some new Rose Petals :/

I'm sure the wheel nuts are available new - they were about 12 months ago

About average I would say. There are some standard nuts that are over £6 each!
