Are you sure the cars hasn't had new cones at the back? this might explain what it sits pretty high.

Or maybe it already has hilos? Which are pretty common

Good shopping list.

I have those gaz dampeners, they are great and you will be for ever adjusting them, top find the perfect setting,

Going back to your rear height, I am sure it something you either have new cones on there or adjustable hilos.

maybe it has these ones fitted?`

i got the metric one and it worked fine for my 1990 studio 2 just be careful not to cross thread it because its not the most robust tool. the cones only really last 7 years of normal road use before loosing their shape so if they haven't been done already then you should deffo do them. i did mine six months ago with hilos and it was a great difference in handling :)

also welcome to tmf and good luck with the car :)

Elliott

Its worth spraying a bit of penetrating oil onto the threads of the cone before you start, it may even be an idea to have a quick blast with some compressed air!

Then just be gentle at first as if you were re-tapping a hole.

It can wear right through, you can have a look when you take them off.
