Ive been offered a 12g940 cylinder head which has been ported to 36 inlet and 31 exhaust. I own
a cooper spi with LCB and K&N. I was just wodering what stage head you guys and gals think it is
and wether it would be any good for my mini?

depending on how mucch porting and polishing i would say at least stage 3 or 4 with the siz eof the valves but it all depends. I think it will be leaded aswell with exhaust valves that big

yeah with 31mm exhaust valves you aint got room for the unleaded inserts. I hate this whole 'stage 4' or 'stage 3' naming of mods. Depending on the ports I would say it is prolly 3 or 4. You know what size the combustion chambers are?? You need to make sure the chamber CC is correct for your engine, otherwise it could ruin the way the car runs. You also need to consider what other engine mods you have as a head of that spec may be overkill for the rest of the underbonnet spec.

just get bill richards to build you a road/race head, they are the sh!t!!!! ports so big that no standard inlet manifold will seal, which is a good thing!!! means u can buy pukka maniflow manifold and they have by far best flow!!!
