Thanks guys :)

Got it home on Saturday and had a few things to deal with (as always with minis!)

The drivers side window runner had fallen off and so the window kept slipping. It took me and my dad a while to fix it as it turns out the regulator had slipped a few cogs too :)

Then we had a BIG petrol smell in the car which turned out to be a really easy fix! The previous owner had the back if the car re-lacquered and so the body shop had to take out the petrol tank. When putting it back in they had trapped the vent pipe meaning it was venting into the car rather than outside! Easy fix and she now smells a lot better! :)

Shes currently sitting in my grandparents garage until we find some insurance that's not overly excessive and we clear out our own garage for her!

Super model...  One of my favourite LE models.  My mum has had 13 mini's over her lifetime so far from 60's Coopers onwards and her favourite all around was her mini30.  I remember her part exchanging it for a Cooper Spi, she would later go on to say that it was a terrible mistake.  The mini30 was her all time fave!  It was what inspired me to go out and hunt down a Cooper RSP, the part leather interior & red rimmed steering wheel were a winner for me.

Please get some pics up....

:highfive: that's a lovely wee mini! It looks like its in very good condition and I really like the colour too. I really like seeing a mini that is very original and un-modified.

Funny you call it she, we call mine he, or him :) hehe.

The mini's you find being sold by an old lady always seem like the best buys, they seem to be looked after better I think.

I recently got my first mini too :D  It is super original too, and its staying that way :) very proud of it.

I reckon its also pretty rare, its called a Rio, and there were supposedly only 250 made in each colour, with 3 colours to choose from...

Cost me a wee bit over 2 grand, but less than 2.5, very happy with it as some of the others I looked at were about £2500 -£3000 and needed massive amounts of work! One needed new sills (had overs >_< ), needed new floors, and a new subframe, and the heelboard/mounting points for the subframe were also gone, wheels bearings were shot, 3rd gear was iffy I could go on and on! so it pays to look around :D

Well done, hope you enjoy it, sorry, Her very much!

Hi
Thanks for all your compliments! Got to drive her for the first time on Sunday and LOVED it! Dad thought I would hate it but he was sooo wrong! Had to drive it round the local golf courses drive way as still not actually insured on it yet as it's working out too expensive! Should be by next week though as we are selling one of our other cars which my dad has 9 years no claims on so that should pull it right down! :)will get some pictures on Sunday as we're tagging along with the London to Brighton! :) spent all last weekend cleaning her ready for it! (can't do it properly as we don't have tickets, but we live right next to the route so will join it then!)
