how do.

hopefully when i finally get  the engine in the car I'll be temporarily setting up the weber with a gunson gas analyser, the analyser reads the CO2 level as a percentage, what CO2 level would i need to be aiming for? 1380-fast road cam-BVH-10.5:1 etc.

also as a side note when i start her up should i set the idle to around 2,000RPM  for 20mins to bed the cam in and also should i adjust the idle until running in is complete?

cheers,

bear.

You should run in the cam for 20 minutes, after that you can change idle.

Dont think you are supposed to idle th eengine at 2000 rpm though, I think you need to keep altering the revs between like 2K and 2100..

Depends what cam you decide will dictate what idle you end up with, your CO meter will set the idle mixture and that will have a maximun reading acording year of the vehicle for the MOT. For jetting then there are starting points but to get your weber jetted correctly then a rolling road session is the next step.

You need to run the cam/followers in when first started, engine speed 2000rpm for about 15mins, otherwise you;ll have issues with the camshaft/followers.

I run mine in at a minimum of 2000 (usually 2500) for 20-odd minutes then changes the oil & filter.
