I like the fuky look of it to be honst, I don't see what some of you are thinking! it looks unique!

 

Also it's actualy scientificaly safer with those wheels on, by being seen sooner ;), should be an insurance option I think, get super cheaper insurance from driving a neon green metro!   Theres this about it, nobody can give the excuse that they didn't see you

Right well heres an update.

 

Me took the Metro to the IMM in Kent!

 

 

 

 

Got lots of attention and comments someone even tried to buy him haha.

 

He was totally faultless. We used him for trips out shopping and takeaways over the weekend. You can get some much stuff in a metro haha.

 

Anyway he came back was cleaned, emptied and left ready for my GF to inside and use. She did so came over to mine to get it and the bloody thing wouldn't start.

 

She thought I had done something to it do put her off the car so I could keep it haha.

 

It was just the points that had closed but so that was sorted and she has now been using him as her daily driver so anyone round Basingstoke might see her about.

Forgot about this thread.

 

GF has been using it loads! She gets all over the place in it. We had quite a few issues with the points so I swapped that over and still had some issues with the electronic ign causing some issues. With some help from a few people it finally got working again. Although I do think its a bit down on power.

 

Anyway she's loving using it Ross now has one and I am feeling a bit left out so am trying to find another now.

 

I would like a mk1 bur i'll consider anything.

Forgot about this,

 

I will do a propper up date 2moz.

 

Anyway I split up with the missies who had this last year, she got fed up of having to fiddle with this all the time so bought a 106 and left this in a field.

 

Lucky after enough nagging I got it back! Been back on the road a few weeks. had one or 2 issues but been alright to be honest.

 

Took it to rockingham the other weekend so here a pic.

Right I have a new laptop now so can update this again. I picked the car up and gave it a good clean and a tune and it ran well.
 
Found an old AA badge I had kicking about so put that on and wired in a head unit.
 

 
Hooned it all the way up to Rockingham for mini world live and when I got there the water pump let go. Clearly didn't like being hacked all the way up there haha.
 
Changed water pump while I was there and hooned it back. Used it for a couple of other things and then it wouldn't start any more. Checked earth which didn't do anything, neither did a new battery so ordered a new stater, 
 
So a new star has been ordered.
 
I got this wheels I want to fit I just need a boss for it which is ordered
 

 
 
Also got a couple of sticker on it and a retro 'Backflash' on the back
 

 

 

 
Thats about it really, I need to order a few more bits as MOT is end of the month and the exhaust has a few holes in it. Also really want to get the sellers refurbed and painted white then I can stick the pin striping back on them.
