Wills idea sounds like a good solution. It's usually on the flanges and runners where it cracks as it expands and contracts and tries to pull itself away from the head face. Using the cast Metro item should help eliminate this. It would also save a lot of work. Inserting a flexible bellows into the main collector pipe to the turbo would allow for vibration and expansion/contraction in this pipe.

My friend made his own a couple of years ago out of stainless. After initial cracking problems he fitted a small bellows in each runner and a larger one in the main collector and they have lasted really well with no further problems, and they get glowing hot !! lol

Phil.

I See, there are a couple of options then. My manifold looks a bit crappy and ideally i need a new one if i was going to use a metro one again.

Im going to have to think this one over... hmmmmm

Okay i think im having a momment of foolishness here, What are bellows? what do they look like? im a little worried, im designing my own manifold and having it made from stainless (i am just learning to use my mig welder and a manifold too much for me at this stage). I thought i had things sorted, now i have to take cracking into account? HELP!!! :'(
