Thanks all for you replies , saves me having to pop out for a new tool every time I get to the next stage , just wondering where I can find a sky hook lol , anything else anyone thinks of get back to me , the engine will be here Thursday , I have got to get it to my workshop ( big shed in my garden :)  )  about 100ft , I thought a wheel barrow would be best  with a couple of big strapping lads to help me ( my son and his mate ) take the pressure of me .

Keep the advice coming it's a big help , got the tea bags and cake on repeat order , and little bags and labels was a good reminder , i'm looking at an engine stand at Machinemart  227 KG  £60 , I have read that a standard Mini engine is 150 KG it that right and is that with everything stripped of it , starter motor , alternator , carb ect ect , I will be starting the strip down / rebuild towards the end of the summer , plenty of time to get set up , the summer I will spend in Cornwall in my campervan , sorry its not a mini campervan its a Citroen Romahome but it does the job and its great on fuel , used to have VW aircooled buses but cannot afford them any more , any info on the engine stand and weight would be a big help , cheers Shawbags.
