What Tools For A Rebuid

Am I right in thinking I will need a tool to remove the camshaft bush or is it a bearing ??.

They are pressed in bearings, probably best to give your block to a machine shop for that so they can bore them out to your cam bearing sizes

Just seen another stand , machinemart £84 340 KG thinking that would be better , few more quid but a lot safer I would have thought .

If I am correct - any stand will work for a mini engine (obviously see manufacturers instructions for weight etc) But I was under the impression that an additional mounting plate is often needed to ensure the engine is fully supported on the stand using parts of the block that are sufficiently strong enough?

Ok lads I've just picked my engine up , bloody heavy ! lol , put it in a wheel barrow , just the trick.

Have a looksy below, nothing wrong with reading as much as you can to help you along the way, plenty of info out there. I think it also mentions in the thread below of picking up Bill Sollis's 1380 builder dvd, its got a complete gearbox strip/rebuild on there which is still one of the best and informative pieces I've seen for anyone whos been a bit afraid to tackle that part

I have a sgs 450 kg engine stand you can have for £5 if that's of any use. No good to me. In very good nick.
