This happens alot on fords, we usually just take the barrel and key down to our local ford dealer and ask them to make up a new barrel, takes them about an hour, and costs £25 but thats trade, im sure vauxhall would do the same.

Sounds resonable! il get it for trade to so hopefully all will be well, off on hols for 2 weeks wednesday so its gona just have to sit in the middle of the drive! keep the mini safe i guess as its blocking it in! 2 steering locks are beter than 1!
