Being new to the mini scene & having just bought my 1st mini Im not very clued up on whats what yet :'(
Is there any decent looking aftermarket rear lights - nothing ott, I just like to lose the orange plastic!!
Is there anything available out there??
Pic's of your rears would be a bonus
Also - I really want to replace the light blue carpet for a black or navy one - is there anywhere that sells these??
Thanks in advance,
Jade

Hi! Search the forum for "rear lights" in the styling section, suggest 7 days and older timescale, and that should start you off. But there aren't many pix there, so maybe owners with restyled and novel back ends (of their cars) could start a picture thread and we could end up with a collage of ideas!? (Sorry, Huey is very normal)

I think Mini-trailers do a version of rear light that might interest you, the super clear lens kit

do not under any circumstances buy anything from minitrailers. Bunch of rip off merchants.
The ones jwc posted are my "screw on faves". As for others, well you can convert to mk1 lights by welding in a plate, or theres a guy that visits a mate of mine who has Brava lights. Certainly a lot more work to fit those though! Oh, and Freelander lights seems to be another option. I've not really seen them up close to say how easy/hard they are to fit though.
Carpets: have a look on newton commercials site.

nope. the super clears from Mini- are not jewels. the jewels are from the proper shops (minispares & minisport for instance) and are a much more rounded shape

Wouldn't mind some smoked lenses, but then I worry about the legality of such lenses!!

the lights are available from minispares or minisport (.com). I think -sport is cheaper (which makes a change). Check minispeed, dsn classics and moss-europe just to be sure though. They are around £40.

I'm pretty sure the ones from mini trailers arent "e" marked so arent legal, i could be wrong tho

Newton Commercial
There's more 'stuff' available for Mini's than you can possibly imagine. You just have to know where to look. Look through Mini Magazine or Mini World and you will see most of the major players advertised but for some really trick stuff you need to look at Japanes Mini tuning companies.
