I've been making the cooling system over the last few days - more complicated when the engine's at the opposite end to the radiator. Fortunately I spend way too much on tools (toys) and I've got a Hilmor pipe bender to bend the ally pipe and a beading tool to put nice pretty beads on the end of it to prevent the silicone hoses from coming off.

Next up is fuel lines - again front to rear. Then the brake and clutch pipes. Then the wiring. Then an accelerator cable (going to need to be about 10 feet long).

The tunnel is starting to get seriously crowded.

You can buy a universal motorbike throttle cable and just shorten it to fit ...should come with all the ends you need - just a blow-torch and solder and flux to attach the ends.

my dad sorted my throttle cable out for me i think he used a lawn mower cable, as for fuel lines mine are horrific! iv used hose going for either end to under the car then ran some steel pipe to join them up, doesnt look pretty but should do the job. if not i'll replace all of it with copper lines.

I've ordered a throttle cable for a Formula Ford as they have a similar length problem and it comes with what  suspect are the right fittings (and it's not very expensive). I did look at motorbike stuff but nothing seemed to be long enough.

I've eventually given up trying to get everything down the tunnel so the brake and fuel lines are inside the passenger sill.

With my Micra if the led is flashing the Nat's is enabled, once you turn the ignition on the led goes off and the nats is disabled.

Its just an led to indicate if the nats is enabled or not. Worth while having so you know its status.

The LED was in the middle of the dashboard near the heater controls it flashes when NATS is enabled and goes out when it's disabled. NATS will also signal via the engine check light which is in the instrument cluster if you try to start and NATS hasn't had a good read of the key the light will come on.

struggling to find any info on mpi and spi fuel pumps, what psi do they run at or are they both the same? and if not how do i check which one i have? im suspecting it could be not enough pressure but even if it was low i would have thought it would still fire up and try to idle, just really lumpy and crap. if i try to start it and leave it for 10mins or so it will try to fire but im putting that down to the pressure in the system is making the fuel seep through injectors into the inlet
