Rayvern Hydraulic kit is cheaper and better and easier to fit.  Utilises current suspension layout so you dont have to change out bottom arms etc.  The linked Air ride system looks very 'backyard' engineered to me....

I have air ride, but on my audi. Have had for just over a year. We have also installed them on Golfs (mk2/3/4)

If there is anything specific you would like to know I would be happy to help.

Always been interested to have a crack at it on a mini but some of the kits I have seen have been shocking.

There was someone on here recently selling a rayverns hydro system a few months ago.

How are they to fit??
Is there much fabrication needed or are they usually bolt on bits..?
Also, is it worth it.. my mini is gonna be low, but do I need airride??
Thanks
Sam

Because it's a mini. Not a crappy golf.... Joke!!

Nah I just don't see the point in it. I wouldn't have it on any of my cars even if you bought me it :P each to their own and that.

Super comfortable ride, high up for crusing to shows, flick of a switch its at a great aesthetic height, add to that the handiness of jacking up a wheel of your choosing (when using 4 way hydraulic) to remove a wheel, its an ace idea!  If only i culd justify £2k on suspension....

I would rather have hydros if it was my car. Just think there a bit cooler but to be honest i can't see the point in spending the money. My clubby is low enough now and static and unless I am driving somewhere I shouldn't be I don't really have any issues. It scrapped of speed bumps but not enough to justify the price of some uppy downy suspension.

Problem with hydros (from my experience in comparison to my air) is that they are teeth shatteringly firm and not ideal for a daily from my experience

It looks like the Rayvern Hydaulic kits replaces the trumpets or Hi-Los on a Mini so you still have the rubber cone to give suspension.  I've considered it for my estate but the pump is pretty big and I can't hide it anywhere.

Got self leveling air on the back of my Discovery 2, brilliant for towing, cant see the need for it on a mini personally.

My pal has a mk4 golf on air ride. Not my cup of tea but neat installation.

Most pointless thing on a mini.

Sorry in advance if I'm laughing at any of you mini owners at a show settling your mini down.
