Why is it pointless?

It's not what I would do (I have a VW for that) but each to their own... If we all did the same thing it would be boring...

If anything it suits the mini well as it means you can lower it to the bumpstops at a show then lift it up for the drive home on the twistys

I do enjoy going to shows and seeing tonnes of different things, some of it might not be to my taste but I am interested in taking a look all the same.

Stick air ride on it, hydros on it, space frame it, put a V8 in it, bike heads, bike carbs, carbon and roof chops, it's what makes the mini shows so interesting in my eyes, there was actually a mini at L2B which was running remote air ride and it was getting a lot of interest.

I am currently on my way home from Classic ford. Once you've seen one YB MK1 you've seen a majority of the show and all the while mini owners are trying new things I find it a pleasant place to be.

Having thought about it, for a show car mini, I think air ride would be trick. Although my pals golf as pictured cost well in excess of £4k to air ride alone !!

EDITED: deleted that post because didn't want to offend anyone. Each to their own indeed. Just I personally think air on a old mini is daft

Be a boring place if we didn't voice our difference in opinions :)
