I"d go for a bigger engine if doing the hassle off fitting a bike engine...

I was on both a Busa, and GSXR750 this week, and they're very different beasts!
The torque from a Busa engine is just amazing, in the bike it'll do between 50 and 180mph in top gear.
My concern about the GSXR engine would be, is the engine strong enough to propel the additional weight? but I don't know the weight difference between a mini without an engine, and a gsxr without an engine.

When you say it like that maybe it is a bit small lol!

Depends which model, the early slabside ones weigh a ton but it won't be one of them as them are expensive and collect able now, the later 750 frames weigh less than an old RD350 frame!I was on both a Busa, and GSXR750 this week, and they're very different beasts!

There's a lot of other potential engines in that range, but I'm not sure of the physical size differences. My dad picked up a crash damaged GSXR 1000 for 600 quid. Then there's the 1200 bandit and the GSX 1300. The 1300 is bound to be the same engine as the Busa, just in a different state of tune.

it's based on al older version and being jap a load of bits are different. It's an ok engine but I would look to some of the ZX1200 engines that are cheap at the moment. I also wonder about the VFR engine as it is very torquey (if that's a word) and very compact being a V.There's a lot of other potential engines in that range, but I'm not sure of the physical size differences. Torquey is a word in my head!
I'm not sure about the torque figures of any of these engines.
Space is always going to be an issue under a standard front end, especially when you need to fit a diff, reverse gear, get all the gear linkages right, cooling etc
I don't know if the angle of fuel injected units are as crucial as carbs
