hi all, im new to this forum and i am also a new mini owner, as of today! he is a 1995 rover mini cooper sportspack. i am loving the mini but i am wanting to change the arches. i believe the front wings on sportspacks have been trimmed slightly to accomodate the 13 inch wheels and arches so i was just wondering if i was able to put other arches on my mini such as group 2 or group 5 arches on it? thanks a lot

Not sure about the tyre size but the Sportpack arches have the indent at the top for the repeater which you won't have with Groups 2 or 5. Also, no screws visible. Why do you want to change them?

From what I have heard it can be a right royal pain in the bottom changing from sportspack arches, I doubt you will get group 2 arches to sit low enough not to look odd with massive amounts of archgap and I would imagine there will be holes visible from your sportspack arches as they are physically much bigger thus bolt higher up the wing.

Best thing would be to start liking the arches in my opinion! (sportspack arches do look excellent with a multitude of wheels!)

Not my images or cars but might provide inspiration ;)

I put them on my a few years back, wanted to change them but the holes they mount to are higher on the wing, so like mentioned you would have to mound the chosen arches pretty high.

Couldn't you alter the arches themselves to replicate other arch styles ?

Another option is you could contact TDK racing they have a set of sportspacks with exposed hardware so they look a little like big group 5's

alright thanks a lot guys. I just wondered because im not too keen on the arches as they seen way to big and come far down as I like arches that tuck in nicely just before the bumper on the front end. if I wanted to fit 10' wheels would I have to get spacers on the front for my disk brakes and lower it abit so there wasn't such a big arch gap?

If you're running 8.4" disk brakes at the front you will need to swap to cooper s 7.5" brakes (the kit is available from most mini suppliers) and then yeah depending on the wheels width and offset you may need spacers to push them out to fill the arches better, and hilos to lower it a bit and it will look mega! (as seen above)
