Why did the MPI have the cream sections in different places? When I purchased my car it had the cream sections to the the left and the right of the airbag and I changed this to have the cream sections above and below the airbag!

Why was there this difference? It's been bugging me for years!!

Apparently the very early MPI's (like mine) had them left/right, but problems with the colour coming off meant they changed them to top/bottom. Other differences I think were the Fuel filter setup is the same as the SPI (an extra adaptor/different pipes to the filter) and also the indicators don't flash when you arm the alarm...

Oh that would make sense! Mine discoloured! As did the top bottom one!! My alarm lights flash!!!
