I used to have the same problem, I found that if you moved the bit that fastens to the c pillar slightly forward it allowed me to push the hinge open fully until it's in the correct position to lock out.

yeah, check if the hinge is sitting against the rubber from the squashed seal, preventing it from folding right back.  Mine stay open fine....even at 115mph! :teehee:

Replace your rubber window seals, mine were leaking so I replaced them and also found that my windows now are much harder to open but also stay open and no longer rattle. I think the extra thickness of the new rubber seal is enough to keep them stable and open
