Hello all, well today i finally started on my own Vtec build and as the title hoping to do it without useing a flip front.

Probably going about this all wrong as i have started striping the car and have not got any of the bits i need to rebuild it. 

 

this is my car 

 

 

stripped out the engine bay and interior, removed the front subframe and stripped it down and stuck the car on my home made spit

 

 

next step, find and remove the dreaded tin worm

Spun the car upside down, then removed and stripped down the rear subframe, so now have basically a shell to play with.

So now comes the not so nice job of cleaning to underside.

 

 

Managed to get one half cleaned

Well it's been a while but after i cleaned the underside and found all the tin worm my heart fell out of the idea.

Top tip before you go any further.  Remove the sills you just fitted You had overfills fitted before, hence the rot.  Fitting more will just rot them out again.

i did not fit the new sills over the rot, all the old outer sill, inner sill and rotten floor was removed before i fitted the new panels look at the last photo in post 5

I didn't say you did.  I am saying you have fitted oversills (sills without the holes) which can (and will!) retain moisture in the sills and rot from the inside out.

understand you now, they are going to be filled with waxoil so should be ok

Also drill some holes where the original ones would have been to let the water out and fill with waxoil like you are going to.
