Is it possible to convert a rubber coupling type x pin diff to pot joint outputs? if so how?

As above, it's a simple job to do.

So I can take the ones from my standard pot joint diff and put them in? That's the only difference

Very simple conversion.

Daft follow on question...are the diff side covers the same, or do they also need changing?

I'll answer myself just for closure:

It's the Hardy Spicer covers on Cooper S and early autos that have a different output shaft seal. Rubber coupling and pot joint should be the same.

They are the same on rubber Xs as pot joints.
