Not sure if this will work but i am copying over my build from 16vmini for my Micivan.  Had a shot in Ridds awesome green micra mini at the thistle run and it got me in the mood for a new conversion  :D

After a few engine issues with some of my minis im having to swap my minivans SPI setup to my partners car. Here is the state its in at the moment....

Soooo that left me with using my spare carb engine or just going MICRA! Decided on Micra! Managed to get a 1993 model yesterday for £200 with mot and tax. Only thing iv notcied today was that its got a NATS2 immobilizer, didnt think this age would have that system so iv got some research to do. Need to figure out what iv got to keep from the donor to retain the immobilizer.

Right, wiring the mini wiper motor to the micra loom has been a pain. I have given up at the moment and will try again later on...... I manged to look out my old vtec mini bulkhead and scuttle for making my frame jig yesterday. I am going to try fitting the micra wiper setup to this to see if its possible.

The engine is out! . Few more bits and the micra can get taken away. Is it normal for a micra engine to have two different types of pot joint? One. Is like a Honda shaft (3 disc shapes) the other is like a mini shaft with ball bearings?

This is where i have gotten to.  More updates as the fun progresses!

I'm glad you enjoyed it and will watch this with interest. I think my pot joints were the same. Will have to get under to make sure tho.

Thanks guys! Lots still to do and it will be a slow one due to the amount of bodywork the van requires........ Looking forward to making the frame and I'm using the complete micra loom so that should be fun! Studied your build rids and everyone else's! The van was used as a stag doo mobile last year, hence the stag waggon! Mounted a bucket seat for the groom facing backward in the rear of the van.

Shame the micra callipers are too big to fit the mini hubs..... Would be good to rob as much as possible from the car before it vanishes!

Didnt manage to get the frame completed as i spent most of sat stripping the minivan.  I did manage to get the frame jig built and the engine finally in place.  took quite a while to get it in position.....

Using the minivan for reference.  quite useful!

Engine mounts should be here today or tomorrow so i can start making the brackets.  Ignore the box section at the front and side of the frame, was just playing around to see if the engine could be installed and removed with sections coming down from the towers.  Doesnt apear to be possible and remove the engine, may look at having them come down on the other side of the inner wing instead.  The engine does need to be at a slight angle to get the water pump to clear but i finally got everything clearing with a good 10mm everywhere.

anyone know if the cg13 has a harmonic or just a dampened crank pulley? I have remove the outer half for the power steering pump and only want to retain the water pump alternator on a single pulley. Don't want to unbalance the engine!

I've done exactly that.  smooth up to the rev limiter, as you have experienced :)

First trial setup.  Once tacked up fully with a cross member i will see if the frame clears in the right places on the van.  If it fits i am going to look at changing a few bits and then i can get onto the mounts!

the engine looks angled forward quite a bit, does that help clearance?
