Setting My Su? Can't Find The Needle?

Best Answer Captain Mainwaring , 26 June 2014 - 04:50 AM

Nice video....super little car

Jet (mixture adjusting nut) is directly underneath the main body of the carb. Looking at it from the bottom of the car, turning the nut clockwise (anticlockwise looking from the top) will weaken the mixture.

Not really sure what you are asking?
If you are happy that the timing is set correctly on the dizzy then you just adjust the screw that goes down onto the rocker that accelerator cable is attached to make the revs rise or fall. If it's too rich then the mixture screw is down to the back left of your carb that looks like hif44 to me.
If you want to find the needle you take off the 'pot' by undoing the three screws and lift out the piston, which may or may not be attached and the needle is under that.

Scoop77 is right though.

You have an HIF carb.

The mixture screw is on the side not a nut underneath.
