Hi

This is the first time I've ever posted anything on one of these but I'm just looking for a bit of help. One of my indicators manages to work itself loose every now and again so I was trying to sort it out by putting a bit of tin foil in and managed to short something out because now none of my indicators work but when I gave up for the night and locked the car they flashed. If anyone has any ideas that would be helpful? I think it's probably the relay and I'm going to check in the morning but any help would be appreciated.

Ta!

Check your fuses - one has probably blown due to the short.

Central locking probably powers the flashers independently so that is why in this instance they work.

EDIT

PS: tin foil is probably not the best material to use around electrics

Thanks, I checked the fuses last night and they were fine but I'll have a look today and see what I find.

Yeah I'm starting to realise this more and more now  >_<

Now you need to work out why it has blown! They dont fail on their own!!

My guess is that shorting the indicator live to earth with tin foil might hold the answer to that.
