Hi

I have bought the half rear back panel, valance, half boot floor and the two valance fillers.

I have bought a mig welder and going to practice on the scrap bits of metal of the old panels we have took off.

Has anyone ever welded these panels together? need advice in which order to do them. I was going to look at how they were positioned but the car rolled off the ramp and smashed it all up so thats put us back a bit :(

Should we weld some panels together like the valance and fillers before going on the car? totally new to this so play nice haha

THanks ste

On mine I welded the floor repair first then the rear panel repair then clamped the valance and corner pieces to align. Then mark the position of the corner pieces and remove the valance. Weld in the corners and then the valance last of all.

I would fit the rear panel first. Assuming its the half rear panel that reaches the bottom windscreen lip. Fit the whole thing so it lines up with the rear shelf etc so you know its in the right place, then fit the boot floor panel so it fits to the bumper lip on the rear panel and spot weld or mig plug them together. Then bolt the rear valence on using the bumper bolt holes so it all fits nicely and then the closing panels to fit that obviously making sure they line up with the rear subframe mount holes.

Then mig plug the closing panels to the boot floor followed by the rear valance.

Thats what i would do anyway

It would take a month of sundays to explain on here how it's done but if you have a browse around on the projects section, you will find pictures of other peoples work that will help.

I can certainly show you which parts you would need. It goes together quite simply to be honest
