I haven't had time to do it yet but didn't think the heat shield were meant to be by the carbs, can't put a thicker spacer because the studs aren't long enough :(

Plus you may find the black plastic spacers are about 2mm thicker than the ally ones giving you just enough clearance for the linkages to move....;0)

Sorted out the linkage problem, just flattened the manifold a little bit where it was touching the butterfly rod, now all I need to know is how the pipes are all connected up! Anyone got any photos ?

Thanks in advance !

The breathers on each carb ( brass pipe ) just block them off or connect a pipe to each one to a y piece then I imagine connect that to the inlet manifold , but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong

Or in your case going off your first picture.... The left hand side flat lid has 2 brass tubes..... The one going to the left ( in the picture ) connect to your fuel pipe , then just connect a pipe from the other to the other

The breathers that you are on about were previously connected up to the tappet chest covers, but I have a filter on the top of there now so where could I put them ? Would it cause any harm if they were left as they were without any pipes (running issues) or could I just put a mall bit of pipe going from one to the other ?
