New battery fitted and all seems well!

Only now my positive terminal is too loose, the negative one I've already replaced which was easy as it had a ring conector on the end to attach from the old clamp with the bolt on it. To the new.

But the possitive is actually crimped to the clamping terminal. To get it on a new terminal (http://www.halfords....minal-connector) can I just bend/snap the crimp on the current one to free the wire?

I don't want cut it and make it shorter or any thing incase i over cut or something stupid (likely)

Cut the crimp open carefully and you should not loose any length
