hi all

looking at upgrading/modding my 1275cc 93' mayfair lump.

Looking for some pros and cons from people who have done different conversions in the past and what was better.

i am looking for a fast road engine, i have a budget that can stretch pretty high.  for me its A series all the way,

my options are

big bore stage 3

7 port

16v twin cam (yes i'm aware of the cost)

open to ideas

it want it to be very pokey, but also be useable on the road, as this is mainly where i will be using it.

if anyone can share there knowledge of the different options that would be good.

And i am not bothered about either doing the build myself or leave it to the pro's depending on the build.

Thanks

Ed

How about turbo?

Or a turbo in conjunction with a 7 port or 16V if you feel brave.

The turbo conversion has been covered many times in detail and will give you as much power as you would need, while still being tractable for the road, and giving reasonable fuel economy if driven sensibly.
