It's lovely.  I can't really help with a valuation as a replica like this has to be worth less than a genuine Cooper S, but one of this standard is such a rarity that it's probably not worth 'that' much less?

All I can really add to the above replies is that IF I had the money I'd happily spend 15k on this, maybe closer to 20k?  For insurance, I'd certainly start high with them and work back from there.  Maybe I'd even go with the suggestion that it's worth £25k and work from there?

Got it from minispares about 3 years ago.

It's not very easy to bend round the tight radius but I got it fairly good in the end

It really does look well pal.

Im doing my 1275cc 1965 cooper s as we speak.

should be ready in a month I hope.

Hi,

Thanks for all the replies and compliments.

I think ill try for 25K and see how we go, hopefully I will never need to use the insurance.

Thanks Dave

Hi, tried for 25k which was rejected but they where happy with 20k, so all worked out ok in the end..

Sorry for being OT, but that is a beautifly built car, as others have said, a real credit.

Looks better with some H4's and ram pipes, fitted them just before I went to the rollers. Ended up changing the fan, only had a plastic one at the time but now have an original 6 blade one to fit and also fitted a capillary water gauge. Also picked up an oselli rocker cover, just for some under bonnet bling but not fitted it yet.

Shame I'm now living in Oz and the car is in storage in England. Would have been cool to have shown David Vizard when I met him yesterday, plus I'm sure it wouldn't rust with the sunshine I'm enjoying.
