Picked up a copy of the French Mini Magazine 'Maxi Austin' (Le Magazine Des Anciennes Mini) while on holiday in SW France last month and it has a 6-page review (in French) with many photos of the Blyton Mk1 Action Day, also Beaulieu, L to B, etc. July issue No.30 (see cover below)......the newsagent had 3 copies on the shelf, almost as many as the 2CV enthusiast mags!

Spotted a few in Lyon a couple summers ago.

Of course, I also saw some pretty strange alternatives...

I was there in June. Was followed by one for 30 mins in rural southern France, and probably saw around 15 in Paris!

Parisians were also keen on Metros, maybe it was the cheap bumpers?

There also seems to be more in the south , dunno if it's the rust friendly weather or a left over from the lnnocenti & Authi  days

This is a Schmitt, which is a smaller French interpretation of the Mini Moke, although this one had Belgian plates and was at last weekends IMM in Kent.

I have only ever seen them on holiday around the Mediteranean coast in the South of France.

Just seen a moke at Vitrac. Had daisy in letters on the bonnet. Did they call them that over here?

When i was in France a couple of years back i saw loads. Paris was full of them with bull bars on too.

I remember about 10/12 years ago on a school holiday on a day trip to La Coupole i saw about 30 driving along together.

As I remember, the original Mini was quite popular in Paris. Small and agile, perfect for the city. Always with these additional chrome bumpers for the parisian way of parking ...

Four weeks ago I found this nice setting in the Rue Bréa:

A real Mini behind the vehicle which manages to take profit from the legendary image of the original. Somehow matching the name of the book store: „Pages of History“. :)
