Rusty Tank

Just taken my petrol tank out, it was full of rusty sediment. Will be still fit to use or can I fit a filter

the injection cars have a filter already but I wouldn't be to keen on using a rusty tank for my petrol, how bad is it?

I would have thought there would be some kind of coating in there initially?

I would give it a good clean out, I think people have put stones in them and shaken it to remove the rust then treat it. you can buy tank sealer that basically forms a tank inside, you just clean it right out heat up the tank and pour the mixture in and let it go hard.

Frost do a good kit for sorting rusty tanks' not cheap tho
