Just brought an ultimate engine steady and when I put the piece that goes on the thermostat housing on it fouls the cooling fan, what would be a way to fix this, could I maybe space the fan out and make it fit. Also i have a small leak coming from the passenger door from the vapour barrier on the door what is the best thing to replace the vapour barrier with to stop this leaks

You should not be getting water running from the water barrier like that. Are the drain holes in the bottom of the door clear?? Try using some duct tape along the bottom of it.

Well it looks like it is coming from there but I've never properly looked so might be coming from door seal

Well cheers for that but I would like to get it to fit

Could you post up a photo of the steady in place?  Just can't picture how it is anywhere near the fan.

i had to hack it to pieces to make it fit and then it didnt make any difference

but just cut the bracket its the easiest thing to do

Are you sure you have both spacer plates on the fan? Sounds like you might be missing one, or have one on the outside of the fan.

The last time the fan was off it wasn't me who took it off so wouldn't know but when I did take it off before the last person the spacer was behind the fan

This is what the firewall bulkhead bracket looks like. It attaches through the unused master cylinder bolt holes.

In the words of Austin Powers bady Goldmember....

"I like GOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLDDDDDDDD!!!!!!"

Spanking looking engine, but can't see why a fan would be hitting it. Can we ahave a photo from the other side please?

My first thought would be you need spacers between the fan and pulley.

Is it fouling the fan or the pulley?
The fan looks miles away in the last picture
