Do the inner wings get painted?
Sounds like the ground points might have been painted over.

No the inner wings were not painted.
But it could the earth strap is braking down

After replacing just about every sensor, adding earths etc, mine ended up being the Throttle Body - installed a new 48mm from Minispares and all is well

What was wrong with the throttle body? Distorted ? cracked?

Don't know exactly to be honest, changed it over and all is well - assume it warped as it's the original plastic one

The new ones come with a replacement TPS.
