I think this was the car used at this years Goodwood Festival of speed hillclimb, driven by Paddy himself for a couple of the days. I saw it going up the hill when I was there not expecting to see a mini at all, I was a little surprised to see 33 EJB doing it albeit a replica.

It's at Gaydon.

I got to have a ride in it at Gaydon's 21st anniversary bash (and cutting of the turf for the new Museum Collections Centre) back in May.  I wasn't allowed to drive it, but I was allowed to drive others including Huey, the first Land Rover - how cool! :proud:

Here's a pic of the rather pleased Bill Bell, one of the 1959 Register registrars having his turn in EJB:

How cool is that, screw these Ferrari, lambo drives you get for your birthday, I'd take a passenger ride in that any day.

We were like kids in a sweet shop - I didn't even notice the rain!  It was a fantastic day.

I didn't realise how fantastic it was going to be so didn't bother telling Jason and invited someone from the Young Morris Minors along, as I thought it was good to have a young person there.   He loved it too as he got to drive the first Morris Minor.  Jason wasn't best pleased with me when I got home - oh well!

Apparently I'm still on a car buying ban.  Still, that hasn't stopped me before!

On the Metro front, I have discovered (literally as I was leafleting - long story), a Metro built on 29th October 1980.  Two previous owners, 32,000 miles, handbooks etc but needs recommissioning and a new wing.  Poverty spec and it's mine for £130!  Just waiting for Jason to go abroad - it's easier to buy cars when he's out of the way!

No!  We know what you'd do with it - slam it, stick on some dodgy arches etc!

How little do you know me.....

I'd red oxide the dodgy bits and then paint the wheels matt black!!!
