Evening All,

The mini came with the walnut dash already installed with the cut outs for the stereo and additional gauges etc, but the radio itself was still installed under the lower dash rail as standard.

I'm going to relocate the stereo to the dash to fill the slot so am keen to find out how others have mounted the stereo to the dash board - all tips gratefully received and any pictures would be awesome!

just used a radio cage in mine with a bit of wood behind the dash, under back of the radio to prop it up a bit haha

I'm sure there's better ways.... bet it worked

I bought a mechless radio as I found the standard ones were too long. I never use CD's anyway :P

Just a little warning, so measure before you buy a headunit.

I never had a problem fitting a full size head units in the space? Just move loom lump to give you tr depth you need.

The cage has lots of little metal tabs that fold out to 'grip' the dash. Once it's in place you will see what I mean.

I'm not sure what it hit. Seems like a bulge in the bulkhead. With the foam on top of that.
