Just put my engine back together and my electric fan seems to be switching on more than normal. I've flushed my coolant and the engine won't overheat but the fan comes on and stays on. The temp is a steady 32 all day here at the moment but it never used to come on so often. Do you think a flush with rad flush and maybe a new tthermostat?

What thermostat is in it now?  A good old flush with some rad flush can't do any harm.

I believe the standard one which is 88 degrees (1275 Japo spec). Not sure never changed it. I have seen that the Chevy Blazer V8 high flow 180 degree F ones are an upgrade a couple of people have made worth giving that a go?

Sounds like a lower temp thermostat might be  a good idea but personally I'd be trying a good flush-out first.  Drain and replace the water and add some rad flush and then drive around for 50 miles or so, err... that'll be one end of your island to the other then! :-)  See what that's like.

Just been having a look around your island on Google maps, looks like a fine spot, it'll have to go on my bucket list!

A solid idea and a good place to start thanks!

Yeap sounds like an island long drive is in order! What a shame!

Should definitely be on everybody's bucket list, very different from other Caribbean islands most people go to. I am extremely privileged to have grown up out here even if I do return to the UK on Sunday..

Plus who hates rum and perfect blue water ehy? I'm sure google doesn't do it justice.

Cheers

Toby
