yet another noise coming from the front of the car

every time i change gear i get a clonk coming from around the pedal box, does not sound healthy lol

i have been told it could be the drive shafts? or the engine steadys?

i have tryed to shake the engine about a bit but all seems normal?

help :'(

engine steady bushes or bracket i would put my money on

thats the bar from the bulkhead to the head. Either that or possibly the subframe mounts to the firewall.

Or maybe he meant where can he get the bushs from, in which case I'd go to DSN Classics or MiniSpares.

Check that the engine steady bolt hole isn't ovaled out. If the holes the bolt runs through are worn like this then it will slop around even if the bushes are immaculate.

iv tightend the top mount, the noise has now gone. i think it has ovaled out tho as dan has said.
