I find the language differences between UK English and US English for technical terms somewhat refreshing. Even when it is something new that I have never heard, the context of the use of the words leads to understanding the meaning. However, I don't find it easy at all with Spanish. Even though my native language is Spanglish (Puerto Rico), I have a hard time understanding technical terms in Spanish from other countries. It seems that for every Spanish speaking country, there is a different word for the same technical thing.

It is so bad, that years ago my wife got an almost new Dell computer from her mother with Windows XP in Spanish and we could not use it. I had to buy XP in English and install it.
