I've got a problem with my passenger side teardrop mount, it keeps splitting apart between the metal round part of the mount and the rubber, the bottom stays attached it's just the top of the circle that splits. I made a spacer to fit between the subframe to stop it from splitting, but looked at it today and found it had split a bit again. it seems like the subframe is further back on the passengers side than the drivers as that one hasn't split. The back front subframe mounts are all tight and don't seem to have any problems

Anybody got any Ideas what might be causing the porblem?

Cheers

Alex

teardrops should always be shimmed to fit the subframe, they are not designed to be 'pulled' apart..

As above

You will probably need a few gapping between the subframe and front panel is a bit hit and miss at the best of times

cheers , I've attached a picture of what I've done. Is that the right place to put shims? I'll make another bit thinner one to put in too if thats where they go.
